Season started!
Have been out of action with a
spinal fracture and heart problems but finally got out of the medics clutches
and riding again, albeit slowly so far. Hope to catch up quickly starting with
the website news! Gilly
Brigid had a fantastic end to last
year winning many trophies at the Iceni awards, but typical horses, Ollie did
something in the field and had a slow start this year. Now is back into work
and competing this weekend at RAF Cranwell.
Julia and Caspar have had a good
start with several successful outings already.
Lisa Cawthorne who has been riding
Pilgrim this year has successfully completed 3 novice classes and does her
first 65km ride at RAF Cranwell, if all goes well will do 80km at North Norfolk
and then start ER’s.
Finally Fiona has been in trouble
with some “lumps” on nerves in her back and leg. The leg ones were removed
early in spring and she is back to riding slowly but the spinal ones are still
being “scanned” and the jury is still out, sadly they are giving Fiona a fair
amount of pain. She has managed some pleasure rides, but unfortunately had a
fall at Harling so didn’t complete the ride.
